GELO recently has completed an overseas order, that solid surface undermount basins combined with customized quartz countertops. This solution brings together the strengths of both materials. When an undermount solid surface basin is joined to a quartz countertop, the joint line remains visible, yet the seam can be minimized to gap-free. This delivers superior sanitation compared to quartz countertops paired with stainless steel sinks. Quartz provides excellent hardness, stain resistance, and a premium stone look, while the solid surface basin offers design flexibility, a smooth touch, and easy repairability.

Compared with an all-solid-surface installation, however, this combination cannot create the same continuous coved or curved transition between the basin and countertop. An all-solid-surface solution allows the basin and worktop to be shaped, bonded, and polished as one flowing surface, creating a truly seamless appearance.

Both solutions therefore have distinct advantages: quartz is ideal for durability and stone aesthetics, while an all-solid-surface countertop is better suited to curved transitions, flexible shaping, and a seamless finish.

In addition to solid surface products, GELO also provides customized quartz countertops. Based on each project’s application, design requirements, and performance needs, GELO can flexibly recommend and manufacture the most suitable countertop solution for overseas customers.
